QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

  1. What do you want to be when you were still a child?

Wala pa ako masyadong ideya. (I don’t have any idea yet.)

  1. Was it your ambition to be a dentist? Why?

No! Pinilit lang ako ng tita ko. (My auntie forced me to do so.)

  1. Did you find difficulty in achieving your dreams? Why?

Yes! Aral kasi ako ng aral dati. (I’m always studying during that time.)

  1. What is your secret for achieving that dream?

Study. Wag magbubulakbol kasabay ng pag-aaral. (Don’t be truant while studying.)

  1. Who do you want to thank for such pursued dream?

My parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters ko.

  1. How many patient do you have each day?

3-5 patients. But sometimes it’s according to the patients if they will arrive in emergency.

  1. What are you doing to make your patients relieve and relax?

Pinaparamdam kong hindi talaga masakit at painful ang bunutan. (I’m trying to let them feel that that treatment is not painful.)

  1. In case a patient is afraid, what do you do?

Kung sa bata, nag-story telling ako. (In a child’s case, I’m telling stories.)

  1. Was there a time when someone went to your clinic and ask for a free check up?

Yes, of course…

  1. What will you do if that will happen?

Tinutulungan ko lang sila. (I just help them.)

  1. What is your advice to those who wants to be a dentist like you?

Yun nga mag- aral at wag magbubulakbol. (Just study and don’t be truant.)

  1. What do you think are you now if you are not a dentist?

Siguro nurse. Yun talaga gusto ko eh. (Maybe I’m already a nurse. That’s really what I want.)

  1. If you will be given a chance not to be a dentist, what will it be? Why?

Yun nga nurse na siguro ako. Gusto ko kasing makapunta sa abroad eh. Malaki pa yung income. (I think I am already a nurse. I want to go abroad and the income is higher.)

  1. What do you want to tell us, students, in pursuing our dreams?

Study hard and don’t mind other things that are not important and cannot improve your study habits.

  1. Is your salary enough for your family needs?

Oo. Napag-aaral ko pa naman ang mga anak ko. Nabibigay ko naman yung gusto nila. (Yes. I can let my children study and give them what they want.)

  1. Do you conduct dental mission to help other people?

Yes.

  1. What is your purpose?

Yun nga tulungan sila at maglingkod ng libre. (To help them and serve free)

  1. What is your dream for your children?

Makapagtapos ng pag-aaral. (I want them to finish their studies.)

  1. Do you want them to become a dentist also?

Syempre. (Of course)

  1. Why do you want them to become a dentist?

Gusto kong madala nila o kahit isa man lang sa kanila yung pangalan ko at isa pa ayokong masayang yung pinaghirapan ko. (I want them to recognize my children because of my profession. I don’t want my works be wasted.)
